Optimal reinsurance with multiple reinsurers: Distortion risk measures, distortion premium principles, and heterogeneous beliefs

چکیده

This paper unifies the work on multiple reinsurers, distortion risk measures, premium budgets, and heterogeneous beliefs. An insurer minimizes a measure, while seeking reinsurance with finitely many reinsurers. The reinsurers use principles, they are allowed to have beliefs regarding underlying probability distribution. We provide characterization of optimal indemnities, we show that layer-insurance type. is done both without budget constraint, i.e., an upper bound constraint aggregate premium. Moreover, indemnities enable us identify representative reinsurer in situations. Finally, two examples Conditional Value-at-Risk illustrate our results.

Optimal reinsurance minimizing the distortion risk measure under general reinsurance premium principles

Recently the optimal reinsurance strategy concerning the insurer’s risk attitude and the reinsurance premium principle is an interesting topic. This paper discusses the optimal reinsurance problem with the insurer’s risk measured by distortion risk measure and the reinsurance premium calculated by a general principle including expected premium principle and Wang’s premium principle as its speci...

On Optimal Reinsurance Policy with Distortion Risk Measures and Premiums

In this paper, we consider the problem of optimal reinsurance design, when the risk is measured by a distortion risk measure and the premium is given by a distortion risk premium. First, we show how the optimal reinsurance design for the ceding company, the reinsurance company and the social planner can be formulated in the same way. Second, by introducing the “marginal indemnification function...

Optimal reinsurance under mean-variance premium principles

We derive optimal reinsurance under premium principles based on the mean and variance of the reinsurer’s share of the total claim amount. Both global reinsurance and local reinsurance are studied. Examples considered include standard deviation principle and variance principle. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. MSC: Primary 90A46; Secondary 62P05

Risk Redistribution with Distortion Risk Measures∗

This paper studies optimal risk redistribution between firms, such as banks or insurance companies. The introduction of the Basel II regulation and the Swiss Solvency Test (SST) has increased the use of risk measures to evaluate financial or insurance risk. We consider the case where firms use a distortion risk measure (also called dual utility) to evaluate risk. The paper first characterizes a...

Optimal reinsurance for variance related premium calculation principles

In this paper we deal with the numerical computation of the optimal form of reinsurance from the ceding company point of view, when the cedent seeks to maximize the adjustment coefficient of the retained risk and the reinsurance loading is an increasing function of the variance. We compare the optimal treaty with the best stop loss policy. The optimal arrangement can provide a significant impro...
